Blown-In Fiberglass Insulation Specialists Serving Greater Atlanta

An affordable solution to your home’s energy efficiency and comfort problems

Inadequate insulation and improperly installed insulation are the leading causes of discomfort and wasted energy in Atlanta homes.

You likely have insulation problems if the same rooms in your home get extremely hot or cold – even when other rooms remain comfortable. You’ll also notice unusually high utility bills.

In most cases, you can easily gain great energy savings and fix your comfort issues by insulating your attic. Most attics don’t have enough insulation, or the right kind properly installed, which leads to your home experiencing extreme temperature swings during the various seasons of the year.

Insulating your attic is an easy, fast, and affordable way to improve your efficiency and comfort.  Sealing air leaks, many of which you can’t even see, and adding the right amount and kind of insulation improves your comfort and efficiency immediately. In fact, it’s common to improve your heating and cooling efficiency by 50%.

At J.R. Bolton Services, we have highly experienced and trained professionals who do the job to perfection the first time. We install blown-in fiberglass insulation, as well as many other kinds, in any area of your home, including your attic, basement, garage, and many others.

How Blown-In Fiberglass Insulation Works

You probably know about the fiberglass rolls (called “batts”). Once installed, blown-in fiberglass insulation actually works very similar to these.

One of our employees feeds bales of insulation into a shredding machine. Once shredded, the insulation gets blown through a long hose. In your attic or basement, another of our technicians directs the hose and applies the insulation until you have the right amount. This is an area where less-experienced contractors make mistakes.

The nice thing about blown-in insulation is you usually don’t have to remove your existing insulation. That saves you time and labor costs. Once done, you have a thick and fluffy blanked of insulation that instantly improves your comfort and reduces your heating and cooling costs.

Your home should have air sealing done too

By itself, blown-in fiberglass insulation only slows heat transfer through conduction (heat transferred from one solid material to another). It does not stop energy loss as a result of air leaks. No insulation does. That’s just the way it works.

However, air sealing does put an end to air leaks. For maximum energy savings and comfort, that should be done by experienced technicians before you have your new insulation blown in.
