Curious How Bolton Became the Company It Is Today?

• Here’s our story.

  Jeff Bolton, at the age of 19, took over the part-time gas appliance installation business in 1983. Originally started by Tillie Bolton, Jeff’s grandfather, in 1938, this business originated as a home repair business. In 1961, Ross Bolton (Jeff’s father) focused on gas appliances. Jeff then added air conditioning and heating services in 1983.

  While Bolton’s journey started with HVAC services, it didn’t end there. In spring 2005, our company acted on our commitment to bring customers the dependable services and products they deserve. Using our established industry experience, we chose to expand Bolton’s capabilities, offering a whole new line of products and services, which included fireplaces, stoves, inserts, gas lights, grills and smokers. Now, 15 years later, Bolton stands as the go-to company for the Greater Atlanta area’s gas lighting, outdoor cooker and fireplace needs!

  The Bolton family originally settled in Norcross in 1833, near Jay Bird Alley and Spaulding Drive, making Jeff a sixth generation Gwinnett native. Jeff still owns the Bolton family property in Norcross that was purchased in October 1887 by his great grandfather, Bryant Ross Bolton.

  Jeff’s experience with the area and his family legacy in the business makes him an excellent leader for the company, constantly helping new families uncover and fix their home energy losses.

  Outside of work, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife, Susan and their growing family with five grandchildren. He is also a licensed pilot and enjoys flying small planes. Ever dedicated to his trade, he mostly loves to discover new solutions to energy issues in his free time!
